ArtReach
Expanding Creative Access for Youth
Our Art for Mankind team is spearheading an innovative after school program designed to empower middle and high school students from low socioeconomic backgrounds. This initiative aims to eliminate barriers to art education by providing free access to art workshops and resources. The program, scheduled 2-3 times a week for 2 hours each session, seeks to create a nurturing and inspiring environment where adolescents can explore their creativity without financial constraints. Our goal is to establish a safe space that not only fosters artistic expression but also instills a sense of excitement and passion for learning among the participants. Through this endeavor, Art for Mankind is dedicated to fostering a love for the arts and unlocking the potential of every young mind, irrespective of their economic circumstances.
The idea is to invite a different professional artist each week to instruct the workshop.
We would alternate through many different art mediums to provide the students with the opportunity to learn about and explore different art forms. For students who are interested in becoming more involved in the art community, we would offer additional resources such as counseling sessions, career exploration resources, and volunteering opportunities.
